[ Indie Wanda Maximoff | Multiverse ]“— and if you must die, sweetheart, die knowing your life was my life’s b e s t part. But if you must live, darling one, — just live.”
“Uh.” Bucky
cleared his throat. “Sgt James Barnes, but everyone calls me Bucky. I… I remember
you. Wanda Maximoff, right?”
Wanda gave him a warm wide smile as she nodded her head. She knew how he felt, living on the streets, being homeless with no direction. But those feelings were gone now. They’re safe. “This place is not home, but yeah, like you said, better than the streets. Waaaaay better.”

cleared his throat. “Sgt James Barnes, but everyone calls me Bucky. I… I remember
you. Wanda Maximoff, right?”
“Bucky,” she repeated his name as she nodded her head, smiling warmly. “Yes, you’re right, I’m Wanda.”
“I think… I think we met at Hydra”, he said lowly, eyes on the floor.
Wanda furrowed her eyebrows as she remembered those days in Hydra. Not a pleasant memory to remember. “Aaaaaand at the cafetaria the other day, you were with Steve,” she changed the subject.
Bucky nodded. “Yeah, I was there.” Truth was, he’d been following Steve around like a lost puppy. “You likin’ it here?”
Life was so much better here and Wanda couldn’t be more grateful for what she has. “Yeah, it’s better, comfortable,” she nodded her head. “At least I don’t have to worry what to eat today. What about you?”

The first mission for Wanda as an Avenger was to help Steve finding his long lost buddy, Bucky. At first, she thought it wouldn’t be so hard, but she was wrong. It was really complicated to track him down, but luckily, Steve was clever that they only search to the places that Bucky had visited. And now the mission is completed, Wanda has nothing to do but training with Clint, Natasha, and sometimes with Steve. There’s so many things for her to learn and she was willing to take every lessons from her seniors to become better.
There she was, sitting on the bench in the S.H.I.E.L.D garden as she stared at the colorful flowers. She just finished her training and her body was sore. She wanted to go home, but she has none. She only has a place to crash in and that would be the Stark tower. She hated how much she got less privacy there. All she wants for now is to get a new place, a home, where she could be alone.
Ever since he came back, Bucky had mostly been hiding in his room. Whenever he left, if at all, it was at night or at any other time he knew he wasn’t likely to bump into someone else. He didn’t know what to make of what had happened to him, who he had been and what he’d done, and Steve - the only person he trusted now - kept telling him it was okay, to take his time, go slow. So that’s what he did. Needless to say, his late-night roaming of the hallways and visits to the rooftop or the gym meant he hardly saw Wanda, the woman who’d helped Steve find him. To be entirely honest, he hadn’t given her much thought, and she’d crossed his mind as much as any of the other Avengers. But now, on one of his few ventures during daylight, he saw her sitting by herself on a bench and thought that he should probably say something. Thank her, perhaps, for helping Steve? She looked so lonely, he’d feel bad if he only walked away and left her like that. Awkwardly, he cleared his throat.
Her mind was occupied with the thought of her late brother, Pietro. She never stopped wondering how life would be if he was around. But that was just something that she kept inside her head. Wanda didn’t want the other members to know that she was still grieving over Pietro’s death. She wanted to be seen as a strong woman, tho the truth was she’s the most fragile person inside.
The brunette blinked, hearing a presence of someone else. Her gaze turned to where the sound came from and a warm smile appeared on her face. “Hey,” she greeted him with her soft tone, “I haven’t seen you around here before.”
